H2Q champions the acceleration of hydrogen adoption and the development of clean energy solutions to deliver new jobs, regional prosperity and the decarbonisation of our industries and communities. Connecting the industry across the whole state of Queensland, H2Q has member representation from corporate and medium business, the H2 start-up community, academic and research organisations, industry, local and state government as well as government agencies to contribute to the hydrogen value chain. The Cluster also has a strong contingent of hydrogen-focused small-to-medium enterprises that represent the entire hydrogen solutions value chain.

Paul is an expert advisor and vocal advocate for innovation and resilience in the manufacturing, mining, energy and supply chain industries. In this capacity he is supporting the scaling up of the Australian Green Hydrogen Sector, providing much needed resources, capabilities, and partners that can accelerate and de-risk green hydrogen projects. He believes in creating abundant value for organisations, leveraging his 30-year exposure to diverse insights and relationships, envisioning larger and better opportunities even when scarcity and ambiguity prevail.

National Cluster Development Manager | NERA

For the past decade Leigh has worked with Austrade’s international network and government partners to drive global resources and energy investment, assisting clients, representing developers, capital and technology companies, deliver on their Australian expansion plan with a focus honed in on renewable energy and hydrogen investment aligned to net zero emission targets. His current work is focused on collaboratively building a national hydrogen technology cluster for Australia with global reach.

Owen Sharpe

Acting Head of Strategy and Innovation – Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG)

With his career grounded in the legal profession and government advisory roles, Owen adeptly unravels policy reform and the opportunities for commercial, technical, regulatory and engagement disciplines for industry and government to collaborate in the renewable gases development space. With a passion for a clean environment, at AGIG, renewable gases (hydrogen and biomethane), sustainability and innovation are his strategic priority.

He is recognised for his wealth of technical experience, clear analytical mind and his wide industrial and academic network of international standing.

Peta’s 30 year career has spanned senior corporate, advisory and research roles. She is globally acclaimed for her expertise in energy, communication, stakeholder engagement, and technology assessments and particularly, her contribution to the field of sustainable energy and social science research.

Renata is a key player and seasoned professional in policy development for a better business environment. Renata’s policy experience spans, transport, freight, logistics, hydrogen, and the beef industry. Undaunted by government engagement, Renata’s prowess has served in resolving sensitive policy issues. Her advocacy in levelling the playing field and facilitating flourishing business sectors is what drives her contributions to the H2Q Queensland Hydrogen Industry Cluster, Minister De Brenni’s Hydrogen Taskforce, and the Regional Development Australia Brisbane Committee.
